Global University Eritrea – a History of 44 years

Global University Eritrea is one of 150 offices of the Global University International. The Global University Eritrea was officially started in 2015 as   an online service. Since then, many students started the journey but few of them have successfully completed program of studies they registered for. The Global University Eritrea is privileged to run accredited and standard Undergraduate and Graduate schools of Theology with the collaboration of the Global University International.

The GUI records show that Eritrean students have attended the school since early 1980th. The history of 44 years of Eritrean attendees in the journey, justifies the means of wonderful quality of the school. No wonder Global University Eritrea to have a profound ground to establish Theological school in Home country.

Rev. Tekie Mebrahtu was the first Eritrean minister to register in the so called International Correspondence Institute now the Global University International in 1980 for a course.

In mid 1982, Pastor Michael Abrha Fre was the first Eritrean to register as full-time student in Batchelor of Arts program in Bible and Theology. Dr Berhane Kahsai, early in 1983 with many other colleges started the race in the journey of academics.

Evangelistic Faith Mission Eritrea sponsored many of its ministers and lay workers to upgrade the standard education of its employees. Rev Tekie Goitom was the first graduate of Global University in Eritrea in undergraduate program. Others followed him soon as listed below.
